Donata Pizzi
PHOTOGRAPHER AND COLLECTOR
Donata Pizzi is a photographer and collector. Since the late seventies she has worked in the field of photography, as an archivist for L´Espresso, and an editor for Giunti, among others. Her photography work has been featured in the most important Italian newspapers, numerous exhibitions and publications, and she has also produced works for the oil industry (AGIP, ENI). Pizzi has since turned her attention to personal research, applying her vision to seemingly distant subjects from architecture to archaeology and, more recently, to social themes. Her interest in photography focuses on the possibility of illustrating the content of a series of stories in an abstract image. Since 2015, she has worked on the creation of a collection of Italian photography featuring the work of women photographers and artists from 1965 to today.
