From a Family Collection to a House Museum

A visit to the Acton Collection of Villa La Pietra with Francesca Baldry, Collection Manager, reflecting on the changes that overtook the house from being a family home to NYU Florence‘s house museum.

Meanwhile we will discuss the curatorial and conservation choices that were made to both preserve the art works within their context, and to transmit the spirit of the home in a dynamic way.

The tour will be followed by a light lunch.

As part of the Museum Meetings program.
