Book Presentation: Cartoline dal Nord America (Olschki 2026) by Valerio Cappozzo
Prof. Valerio Cappozzo, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Modern Literature, The University of Mississippi
Moderated by Prof. Federica Anichini, NYU Florence
We didn’t know it, but Giorgio Bassani traveled across the United States and Canada from 1966 to 1993, teaching, lecturing, reading his poetry, and promoting Italian art and heritage.
For years, these journeys remained largely hidden, but archival fragments reconstructed by Valerio Cappozzo now reveal a long-hidden story: the dialogue between Giorgio Bassani and North America.
