An introduction to Museum Meetings and Terra Firma programs by Francesca Baldry, Villa La Pietra Collection Manager, and Nick Dakin-Elliot, La Pietra Horticultural Associate.
Be inspired by Villa La Pietra, the Acton Mitchell family history and by the Tuscan Villa Estate, which is home to NYU Florence.
The lecture is also an occasion to have a look at how we may all use this unique estate (‘podere’) to improve our own wellbeing: Francesca and Nick will present the many opportunities that are planned for the semester in the house and in the garden. Before the lecture, we will conduct a quick walk-through of Villa La Pietra and glimpse of the beautiful historical gardens and the vegetable garden (the Pomario).
The event includes a taste of our own delicious vegetables!
