How do societies make collective decisions? How are ‘soft’ variables like well-being and happiness integrated into empirical studies? What do recent studies that include happiness and well-being as indicators show? Paolo Brunori (New York University Florence) will introduce students to the field of Social Choice Theory and will answer some of these questions and more.
