Research in the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence has revealed that both father and son attended the Libera Scuola del Nudo learning to paint the human body and becoming quite renowned for socialite portraits. Arthur is documented in 1895, 1897, 1901, 1907, 1930; William in 1933-34.
